    If I play a movie clip in the begining of the DVD, and after the clip ends, I want to link it back to the main menu with a fade away and fade in, how can this be done?

    You can make the fade in your clip. When it ends the menu take over and become active.

    I don't know if Encore have transitions built inside, if so this might be more convinient.

    Make the end of your first clip fade out, and the beginning of your 'motion menu' fade in. That should accomplish it.
