Lately each time I attempt to burn a DVD with MF2, after the video/audio multiplexing and finalizing of the VOB, I get the message "Drive is not ready". In the past this program has worked fine. I can burn DVDs with Nero and other programs with no problem using the same DVD burner. Does anyone have any idea what's going on with Movie Factory?

You are better off writing the DVD to a VIDEO_TS folder of DVD files (IFO, BUP, VOB etc.) then use the "classic version" of ImgTools to create an ISO IMAGE FILE then burn that FILE with DVD Decrypter.

    OR

Write the DVD to a VIDEO_TS folder of DVD files (IFO, BUP, VOB, etc.) then burn using NERO (shudder).

you can do as mentioned -- build the dvd folders to your hard drive, then burn in another application (I often do it this way).

But for MovieFactory -- have you updated it with all the burning patches from Ulead's site? Maybe you switched dvd brands, and you just need an update...

Yeah, that's what I've been doing lately, using a VIDEO_TS folder on the hard drive then burning with Nero. That works fine but I prefer not to have to use two applications for the process. As for Movie Factory, yes, I do have the latest patch from Ulead. And no, I have not changed DVD brands.
