    Please help.

    Guess you need to install wmvformat or whatever from MS.

    I have 6.5 on a machine here too. Got exactly the same result. "Missing Codec"

    You can download Windows media encoder 9. It is a free standalone application
    http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/9series/encoder/default.aspx
