    Can you tell me how can I read a .dvr file ?
    does it need a particular reader or codec ?
    By the way what is exactly this kind of file ?

  3. What OS do you have? If you have XP SP2 then file can be played with PowerDVD

    any other suggestion ?

  5. It maybe copy protected, if this is done it is still possible to playback the file using the Windows XP Media Center Edition PC that it was recorded on but the file created will not playback on any other PC and/or device.

    it's a video created by a security syetem
    And we would like to be able to view it from others computers

    How can I know if it is copy protected ?
