Can you tell me how can I read a .dvr file ?
does it need a particular reader or codec ?
By the way what is exactly this kind of file ?

Do you have any recommandation for a free codec
the link on the page seem dead -
It maybe copy protected, if this is done it is still possible to playback the file using the Windows XP Media Center Edition PC that it was recorded on but the file created will not playback on any other PC and/or device.

It was not done on a Windows XP Media Center Edition PC
it's a video created by a security syetem
And we would like to be able to view it from others computers
How can I know if it is copy protected ? -
