I tried TSCV, because I wanted to make a VCD with menu/chapters. It seems like a very nice program, so I installed VCDimager and then TSCV.

So I started the program and learned to operate it, and the interface was great.

It seemed like I managed to make a menu, and the chapters I wanted, so I pressed "try VCD menu" or whatever it says. It worked great.

Now to the problem. I tried "write bin/cue and burn", but that didn't work. Perhaps because I've got Windows XP, I dunno.

So, what do I do? The program creates a cue and a bin file, but what do I do with them? I read somewhere that CDrwin uses cue/bin files, so I loaded the cue in cdrwin and burned it. Well it sure didn't create a VCD

I also get some kind of error messages in the log. I have no idea what they mean, pleas help me:

scanning mpeg sequence item "menu-0" for scanpoints...
scanning mpeg sequence item "sequence-1" for scanpoints...
APS' pts seems out of order (actual pts 1057.506700, last seen pts 1057.546700) -- ignoring this aps
    writing track 1 (ISO9660)...
writing file `CDI/CDI_IMAG.RTF' (1315168 bytes, raw sectors file)
    writing file `CDI/CDI_TEXT.FNT' (13616 bytes)
    writing file `CDI/CDI_VCD.APP' (102400 bytes)
    writing track 2, MPEG1, PAL SIF (352x288/25fps), audio[0]: l2/44.1kHz/224kbps/stereo ...
    writing track 3, MPEG1, PAL SIF (352x288/25fps), audio[0]: l2/44.1kHz/224kbps/stereo ...
finished ok, image created with 193355 sectors [42:58.05]

    VCDxBuild finished

Is this correct? What am I doing wrong? And what can I do to burn the bin file?

  2. You can definitely burn CUE/BIN images with CDRWin (since Goldern Hawk invented the format). CDRWin is a devious proggy though and if you use a pirate serial number or a crack, it will accept it and burn coasters...

There are a number of programs that can burn CUE/BIN images. I wrote a guide on how to do it with CDRWin, CDRDAO and Fireburner here: http://www.geocities.com/medinotes/vcd/burning_cuebin_images.html
