Not sure where this should be posted. I have a file that includes CD1,CD2 and Subs {in SRT format}. I printed out and followed the guide here using vobsub or ffdshow. However, vobsub did nothing and ffdshow totally jumbled the picture in either WMP or TMPGenc. Uninstalling both restored the picture quality but now, I'm back where I started. I assume I've done something wrong but don't know what. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

What version of both did you try?
Try VSFilter. It contains a newer version of directvobsub. Recent versions of both VSFilter and ffdshow are working fine here. -
...or try an AVI player that supports external subs (ZoomPlayer?)

A newer version of ffdshow didn't work for me nor did VSFilter or Zoom Player {a nice looking player}. When trying to add the subtitles in WMP and play, I get a box saying I have to add a video renderer or something and, on another try, ffdshow did get 11 seconds of the file to play. The file does play fine otherwise; just in Thai. Thanks for your help. anyway.

Tried MPC?
