  1. Hi Guys,

New to the forum, so hope this is the right section.

I extracted the Mpeg from an SVCD using Isobuster and am left with a file that plays fine on WMP etc.

However, I want to put the file onto a DVD. I use Mediostream NeoDVDv4. When I load the file into Neo it rejects it saying " Cannot recognize filename.mpeg". I have all the relevant codecs installed, including an Mpeg2 Codec. Neo has quite happily accepted other mpeg files which haven't been extracted, ie original mpeg files.

    Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Tried renaming the file from *.mpeg to *.mpg?

  3. Yup !! Did that originally with no luck.

This is strange because a friend of mine uses the same method and software with no problems at all.

  4. Thanks Mat. Tried it but no joy. I think TDA is quite limited in its capabilities anyway.
I think the problem may be to do with a missing codec of some kind, although I do have Mpeg2 codec installed.
As I said, Neo happily converts a normal VCD, but will not entertain an SVCD extraction at all, pointing to a codec problem maybe.

TDA is quite feature filled, in relation to its ease of use. I made a mistake tho - didn't see that it was a SVCD mpg you had on your hand. Try running it thru svcd2dvdmpg before loading it in TDA, as SVCD mpegs aren't DVD compliant.
