  1. Okay... I'm trying to join several .mov files and then convert them to mpeg-2 so I can make a DVD. I used Movie Joiner v.3.35 to join the .mov files, and it worked beautifully. I've got both sound and video. I then converted the new (joined) .mov file to mpeg-2 using TMPGEnc with the QTReader plugin. This gives me a video file (.m2v) and an auido file (.wav). However, when I tested the result, I have sound and video for what was the original first .mov file, and then only video and no sound for the others joined to it. Any idea what the problem is and how to fix it? Any advice on how to do this differently? Many, many thanks in advance.

  2. Encode each .mov separately, then join in TDA or TME, or tmpgenc using the merge feature.

Use Quicktime by itself to copy and paste each portion into a single file, then save as a new .mov file directly from Quicktime, then import to tmpgenc.
