  1. HI,
I need help with finding a program that I can manually set chapter points to the movie file. I will need audio accessability to help me set the chapter points.
The reason for the audio reference is that the movie is a musical concert.
There are no 'scene' changes that I can use as a reference for the chapter points so I will need the audio portion of the movie to create the chapter points.

My final project with be to a dvd.

I have the project currently as vob files but could change them to something else if I need to. As in, whatever the program would support.

The project is a transfer from a video camera, to a video recorder then to my hard drive.
The music concert is of myself performing, captured to video by a friend of mine. So I assure you guys that there will be no illegal stuff going on here!!
I just wanted to author a nice looking dvd for myself and friends to watch.

Thank you in advance for your time and for your assistance!

Watch/listen to it. Write down the exact points in the program that you want to make a chapter (meaning like at 15:12 in the program), then go into your authoring program, fast forward to each point that you wrote down, and click"insert chapter". TMPGENC DVD Author is a good program to use, as it has audio and video during the preview in the editing portion.

That is exactly what I do if I have video with AC3 audio in TDA . Either on my home DVD player or with my Ulead DVD player in my computer. PowerDVD tends to make the audio and video out of sync after repeated fast forwards...at least on my computer anyway.

  4. Thanks for the quick replies!

You say that TMPGENC DVD Author has the audio and video in the editing portion of the prog? I'll give that a try first, to see if I can get the audio. If not, I will try the writing it down and inserting it tip. (now why didn't I think of that!?!?! --hahaha )
Thats what I like about this forum, people DO help out each other!

I'll post my results for future searches on this subject
