  1. I recently re-installed windows Xp Pro, and now have problems playing back many of my .avi files. All of these files used to play fine, prior to the uninstall.

What happens now is, the playback is very blurry and "pixelated" to the point you cant see anything. Audio playback is fine. Ive used either Windows Media Player 10 and Windows Media Player Classic, same result.

I BELIEVE, but am not positive, the only codec packs I ran after the reinstall were Dix503bundle.exe and the K-Lite pack.

Any ideas w/o reinstalling windows again? Anyway to remove any add-on codecs installed, so I can start from scratch?

    Thanks!

  2. my only idea would be that you didn't re-install the same codec that you used before. the ones that are now installed on your machine are not interpreting the files correctly. once you find what you encoded them with, and re-install those on the machine, you'll probably be able to view them correctly again.
