When I try to convert some avi files to mpeg files using TMPGEnc it sometiems reports an audio error. I have read the site and used Virtudub to covert the sound file. Then I bind the audio and video together. However when I come to burn the disk as a VCD (using Nero) it reports an error about the sound (saying its bnot compatible with VCD format)and gives me the option of using nero to covert the sound or try again. If I ignore the help then the VCD comes out terrible, blocky and jumpy. If I accept the Nero help the final result is a VCD with the sound out of sync. (and it takes forever as Nero converts the sound file).
Thanks in advance for any help.

strider-nj,
I have a suggestion but don't know if it will work for you. Encode the "VIDEO" only with TMPGEnc and demux (de-multiplex the audio from the original avi. Then mux (multiplex) the audio and video together. I do this for all my creations and there's not 1/2 sec off sync. Hope my suggestion could help. Good Luck, Jordan
