    VTS 2 contains the widescreen version. Vob's 1 thru 4 contain the movie. Vob 5 seems to be a blank dummy file. Is this connected with copy protection system? Removing vob 5 from the rip does not effect transcodeing with DVD Shrink. It won't play as a media file in PowerDVD but the other four vob's will.

    Just use ANYDVD and CLONEDVD to fix the problem to copy Redident Evil 2.

    I used DVD Decrypter and DVDshrink 3.2 and it worked fine. The bad thing was the movie took forever to rip. What ever, its done now.

    Yes thats Sony ARccOS the new version of Decrypter takes care of it same with the newest version of any dvd.
