I'm trying to encode a ten minute track off of a DVD with DVD Audio Ripper but it won't let me. The best I can seem to get is to encode the whole DVD as one file/chapter. Will I have to then take that file and edit it get the track that I want. There HAS to be a better way.
Edit: I guess I could encode the rest of the DVD as usual, then chop the ten minute track out that I want manually in an editor - correct?

I'm not familiar with DVD Audio Ripper but there's one simple way I can recommend.
Try DGIndex - Available here:

Open up your VOB (or VOBs) and then set the start and end points.
Then go to Audio > Output Method > Decode to WAV
Then Save Project and there's your WAV. -
I've got my file loaded and I can see it's going to be easy, however, I'm not getting any audio. I need it because it's a concert. Thanks so much for replying, I appreciate it.
Edit: I can workaround that visually by playing the DVD and using reference points - thanks for your help!
Edit: Gee, or I can use the time stamp! Just say no to triple espressos, kids! -
Does this DVD contain multiple audio tracks?
Check to see if you can select a different audio track under Audio > Track Number.
Also, double check to see if Decode to WAV is set under Audio > Output Method -
I forgot to mention, if you are looking to burn this to an audio cd or make an mp3 out of it, dgindex with also resample the 48 khz to 41.1khz under the
Audio > 48 > 44.1 khz tab
Ultrahigh is the typical default setting most people use. You can also normalize the audio file if you choose to under Audio > Normalization -
When I'm going to save it the drop down window only gives me the option of saving it as a project or 'all files', that's what the problem is. I know i'm screwing something up!

Hmm whenever I save the D2V there is always an audio file right there in the same directory
it's only outputting a d2v file? no audio file? -
I got it to work and I don't know wtf I was doing wrong. At this moment, I don't suck so bad.
