"Right Now" was Van Hagar, and that sucked.

For me it is hard to say who is/was better. I think David flambouyant and Sammy mellow. You can actually hear the styles change after David left. Sammy moved the band in a softer direction as opposed to David's style. Either way. I like both era's. When I was younger say in my teens, I probably would have chosen David over Sammy because of style. Substance is always subjective. -garman

Van Hagar was mainstream, glitzed up beebop top 40 commercialized stuff being churned out by a bunch of guys that "made it". At one time they were young raw and hungry innovative types. That's what early Van Halen was. Raw, un-cut, brash in-your-face punk rock with a 'tude. Sammy Hagar in his own right was a great solo act before he hitched on with the VH band. And like most in the music business that "make it" they got wealthy, they got old and they got lame. They still made lots of catchy tunes and toured and sold lots of albums, but it was a tame, milder more watered down act compared to their early beginnings. To this day - and to their credit - nobody has really "copped their style" like you see with just about every other act out there, but the intensity just isn't there like it was in the beginning. It's hard to describe. Both were really good bands, but even though it was just swapping out singers (forget about Gary Cherone, btw....that was just silly) it's two completely different bands.

FWIW....little-known tidbit of trivia....there was actually a FOURTH SINGER for Van Halen

    BEFORE YOUR time

I don't think so dude...Moses was not their lead singer and Van Halen didn't play the Last Supper gig.

It was not a warez site. It was a tracker site.

To say it was a warez site is wrong.

Yes it was a tracker site. That was designed and used so that people could distribute warez. Plain and simple.

I'm not gonna say rather I feel it was right or wrong to do or anything but you can't really deny what it is. The judge sure didn't.

The "its what the users do with it thats wrong" defence does not work. Its been proven over and over again.

Then explain why you could get linux iso's from that.

It was not a warez site.

Yeah well it was an exception. You could get them from supernova and likely kazaa also. Its not a defence, plain and simple.

Read the full version of my post (was likely editing it when you posted)

    Judges would disagree with you.

I will leave it at that.

I could call my couch a cat, but that doesn't make it so.
