  1. Ok…I rip using shrink 3.2 and burn using Decrypter. I have an OEM Panasonic Unit in my 04 suburban that will start playing the backups and then in about 15 minutes start skipping and then just freeze.

My backups work fine on my JVC home unit.

I have tried burning with a NEC 3520, the latest BENQ and a MicroAdvantage, all with the same result.

I have used TyUden (spelling is incorrect) Radius, Fuji and the TyUden have had the best result, but still the Panasonic just cannot get past 15 minutes of playing…

I also burn at 2.4 speed

Does anyone have any suggestions as to a better Media or process or some witchcraft or prayer to the DVD Saints I might try…

    Thanks in advance and peace,
    jay

  2. Sounds like the Player doesnt like DVD-r , whats the model Number of the player,See if its in the list of players. Always stops at 15min mark?

  3. There is no model #. Some outfit actually badges the player for Panasonic and emails that I send panasonic do not get answered.

    15 minutes is a guestimation...

All i know is that the movies start out fine, but at some point start jerking and finally freezing.

    thanks

  4. Well if you have tried that many different DVD media,I would say its the Player,No number on the back of the player?

  5. Try some +R discs, using DVD-ROM bitsetting when burning the discs. That way the player will see the discs as store bought, pressed discs. The NEC and Benq can do bitsetting, change with Nero CD-DVD Speed or DVD Decrypter.

  7. My bad...

I had the latest firmware for both the benq and the NEC which automatically burned the discs as a dvd-rom. Sorry for leaving that off.

I go into decrypter afterwards and have made sure.

    thanks
