    For some reason standard DVDs freezing on my Sony BlueRay BRP-S550. This never happened on my regular DVD player. Any ideas??

    Have you tried another media brand? or dvd-r or dvd+r.

    Well on my regular DVD player I have had the best luck with the Tiayo Yuo DVD-R's.

    Sony players are notorious for being very picky about which media they will play.
