What made you decide to stay here?

I'm sure all of us orginally came here looking for advice about backing up DVD's but what made you decide to stay here and become a regular post whore?

I know I didn't think I would use this site for more than just the tools it provided but ended up really enjoying everyone and especially OT.

Started out lurking,reading, asking questions and getting help on Video Conversions. Now I stay around just to report posts and on my way to becoming a OTPW. I also happen to think the majority of the people here really want to help those who try and understand what they really want to do. Damn I'm confused now.

I want to help people to but I don't always know the answer so I won't post. I ask for help myself once and awhile though. And I'm on my way to becoming an OTPW too. :P

I'll be honest, i originally found this site several years ago when i was looking for information about how to burn my downloaded movies onto cd's

but when i learned more about it all and learned just how crappy downloaded stuff is in comparrison to the real stuff, and also when my ISP called me and told me i was over my monthly allowed bandwidth , i stopped all that crap. And i started making money, so i could afford to buy the actual dvds.

Since then OT has just become a place to spend time and vent and discuss matters of great importance with people of my own maturity level :P

I originally came here to learn more on how I could assist Blockbuster in implimenting an involuntary and covert off-site archival program.

Found OT and stayed here for the uniquely intelligent and witty personalities and the deeply intellectual discussions.

Oh -- and I only subscribe to Playboy because I like to read the atricles. :P

I was lurking for months to learn how to make DVD's and Vidoe CD's

My first projects were video pron collages. I would download all the free samples I could find and then combine the ones that were from the same site or of the same girl.

All the trouble I went through I guess I cpould have jsut bought pron, but free is better than paying.

I now I do a little video work for people I know or people they know. Not pron though.

Pron and war what 'Muricans do best.

Oh, how I can relate! I was well into 9TB dl, and 3TB ul, when my ISP started asking questions. (We probably have the same ISP me also being from the west side of Canada).
