What applications would forum members recommend I use to convert MPEG Transport Streams, captured via Firewire, for playback on a Set-Top DVD player. Easy and free would be great if possible. I would also like to put multiple episodes onto one DVD if any of application supports it. Also, are there any good free/inexpensive applications that can edit out commercial in MPEG files and NOT have the audio get out of sync with the Video.
Thanks Very Much In Advance For Any Advise or pointers to good reading material.

For converting my (PAL)MPEG2/DVB transport streams I use projectx to demux and then edit out the commercials with mpeg2schnitt.
I tried some other tools to do it, but most of them had sync (or other) issues.
After the editing I just author and burn them with TMPGEnc DVD Author.
Works great for me!
