I really enjoy music videos that come with CD singles. I'd like to rip these to my hard drive to mpeg format. What is the best software and method to do this? I know that most of the time that these music video files on the CDs are not in an easily transferrable mpeg format. Thanks, Ed.

Depends on there current format.... Have you looked on the CD to see if you can find them? It's probably in a folder with a dat extension.

If it's a dat file try changing the extension to mpg.

Thanks... I will take a look. I cannot recall a specific file format. I'll experiment today.

    Thanks

  4. The majority seem to be in MOV quicktime format, but its poss to convert them to mpeg.

If you are lucky they are (sometimes) in mpeg format (not DAT as someone else suggested as that would make the disc a Video CD).

If they are in mpeg its easy to convert them to a DVD using Nero, just drag n drop it in using Nero Vision express
