  1. hi all,

Just created my first DVD with this software, but my main menue and track menus, I have a image and would like to add background music.

The only way to do this that I have found is to make an MPEG file of a image with a music track using Vegas Video Studio3. But the problem by doing this is the music only lasts the amount of time I select in Menu Display Settings under Motion Menu and lenght of motion menu.

My menus are basicaly video sequences. But by putting the length to 208 seconds (the length of the sound track of the menu) the Thumbnail chapters ( my video sequence) play.... I dont want this.
Also, when going from the main menu to a sub menue (track) the music sound track restarts from the begining. Is there another way to make menues with another application similar and easy to work with as TMPGenc DVD Author is?

    Thanks

  2. ok, I found the way to make the main menu sound track play and not the thumbnails. All is good and worked fine on my laptop which i use to burn the DVD's.

    Problem :

When I burn the DVD-R and play it in my home DVD Toshiba SD-2800, the main menu sound track plays, but when going to a sub menu and selecting the item to play, only the image plays, not the sound track of that clip.

Is this caused by TMPGenc DVD Auth?

  3. ok, i fixed it.

I looked in the menu of my Toshiba home DVD SD2800 and in the setup menu under Audio, the Audio was set for Bitstream, when switched to analogue, still did not worked. So tried the last of the 3 selection for Audio Output which was PCM, and it started to play the background music of the clip !

I guess the PCM is probebly the coding that ZTMPGenc DVD Auth uses when coding the MPEG1 into DVD format prior to burning, OR... it's probebly the Audio Setup of my Vegas VideoStudio3 that I used to make the Clips with the sound tracks.

Anyone has a clue as to why the Audio output has to be set to PCM on a home DVD, let me know.

Thanks for your help, even if I found my own problem.

Love this site, and will be reading alot !

    thanks again
