Today I bought a CompUSA DVD-rom/CD-RW for the kids PC. It's a Win2K PIII-750, 256mb ram and a 16mb video card. Install went great, but when I play a dvd it's kind of jerky in the playback. I the listed system requirements it mentions PII-350 or better, 64mb ram minimum, Win98 or newer O/S. It doesn't list anything about minimum vid card.
Any ideas?
Dave

it could be your video card because i had problems with my first pc that only had 4mb. when i went to certain website that had too much graphics my pc would freeze up or the graphics became jerky.....you could take back the drive to compusa and get a different one.....try uninstalling POWER DVD 5.0....<<<<is that OEM software? because some OEM software will only work with the drive that the software came with....
