Desk top shortcut

The new version works great from my hard drive.But if I make short cut on my desk top it work work it comes up with languag error and others

Are you saying that if you start it from the programs menu or from the executable it is fine, but you get this error from a shortcut on the desktop?

Yes if I open it from my hard drive it works fine.When I put a short cut on the desktop I get that error.

What about when you open it from the Start->Programs....
