I've used this prog a million times, and I've tried a couple times with the file in question. Every time I encode it to dvd format the audio trails behind the video for the whole movie. What's the easiest way to fix this?

Sometimes that happens. Its cause by bad frames in your avi file.

You can fix it with divfix. Just put avi in and set output. Then hit strip index
    button.
Your going to have to encode it with TMPGEnc again, but use the fix avi.

Load the clip in VirtualDub. If you get an error regarding improper VBR header or similar, save the audio out as uncompressed wav. Load this as the audio in tmpgenc and all should be well.
