I'm confused. The new version says it can handle disks with Sony sector copy protection. This program does not work from the DVD,it requires that you rip the disk first. If I rip it (DVD Decrypter 3.52) haven't I already removes the Sony sector protection?

  2. I don't know what they mean by that statement. DVD2one will not do copy protected DVDs.

It probably means that it can handle whatever munched structure DVD Decrypter leaves afterwards.

Of course, the authors of DVD2One are a bunch of stuck-up jerks anyway, so who CARES what they say?

Sounds to me like they've thrown in a bragging rights statement ... about something which is out of their control
    If in doubt, Google it.

    That would be my guess.

Uh, the people who bought and use DVD2one? Not that I'm disagreeing with the "stuck-up jerks" part.

I just get amazed that people still buy DVD2One. Back in the day, it was the bomb, so I can understand a loyal userbase. But that people still pay for it... amazes me.

If I were trying to sell a program, and there were a half-dozen other people out there writing highly competitive code - including one of the "big boys" (Ahead) - I would be humble and try to address the desires of my customers. The authors of DVD2One do the exact opposite of this... and yet people still buy it.
