MacTheRipper 2.6.3 has been released with the following changes:
•*This time it really fixes the bug in the new UOPs disabling code
    • Fixes an obscure bug where a file called Glass.snd in the home/Library/Sounds folder on some users' systems could cause MTR to crash

  2. Has anyone played around much with the new UOPS code? Has anyone had any problems with the old UOPS code?

I've been using it for a long time without about 10 different DVD players and had no problems.

  3. Oh, i should probably qualify that I mean Compatibility Issues with the UOPS code. I've never seen a backed up DVD not work after removing UOPS.

I personally had a few DVDs not work with the old UOPs code in 2.6 and earlier, and since have stopped using it. Not sure about the new one. It seems Disney releases were more prone to not working (the menus would stop working, or the movie wouldn't start) for some reason. I'd love to hear about ppl for whom the old version didn't work on some releases where the new version did or vice-versa...

It's been a while, so I'm not really sure anymore. I was thinking maybe Pirates of the Caribbean or something, but I really can't recall. I'd try any recent Disney titles (don't know about their animated titles).

All of these will work OK without UOPs disabling in MTR 2.6 (might work fine with UOPs disabled too, not sure), and hopefully would all work with the UOPs disabling in MTR 2.6.3. Any problems would manifest themselves as menus not working correctly, or inability to get the movie playing from the menus.
