When I record from cable,I get a "roar" sound on playback.I think it might be some kind of interference.Any Ideas?
All other recording is great.
I really like this machine and no coasters so far.I'm pleased especially since I paid less than $180.
Thanks

Try not to connect the output RF to the TV and just use the Audio LR to a stereo receiver instead. In other words do playback not through the RF.

Thanks,but I solved the problem.
If I do this, the sound & video are better.
From cable box to vcr.VCR out to rear inputs of 5005.
Works great.
Thanks to all who tried tohelp.
