  2. Whooo whooo!
Great job indeed mate! Keep it up.

When do you estimate we will have the option to determine a pre-size of the out-put DVD?
Make it real to choose a DVD size of 4.7GB or other, rather than running DVDShrink after...
Another VERY VERY important issue especially for foreign loyal users that use your tool is the ability to add and configure external subtitle!!! Please please make both happen ASAP.

May the force b with you mate

  5. I got a problem with converting more than one file in svcd2dvd rc1
    I run the program
it converts the part 1 and part 2
    makes a dvd folder

but when i burn and play back in a standalone dvd player the 1ist half plays fine but the 2nd half jumps skips
seems like the join screws the dvd player up

? anyone got a fix for that please

Does it happen in your software player or other standalones? Did it happen with other releases?

Have found what i assume to be a bug or an oversight.
I converted a vcd told it to burn using dvddecryptor and it all went fine.
Then i created another one and forgot to delete the dvd output folder and instead of it renaming the new output or saying should it overwrite it just added the new one onto the old one so i ended up with a dvd with 2 films on instead of 1.
I assume it should have realised the name was the same and either rename the new file or delete the old one?
Not a major problem but if you are doing a few and forget to delete the old outputs you waste a lot of blanks

ok. I shall add a warning that this is about to occur, recommending that the user changes the output folder or something.... Thanks for the headsup.

  11. Thanks for the update. I'll give it a try this weekend. Just to make sure - do you consider this program good for camcorder DV source to DVD (NTSC, interlaced)? Which encoder(s) does it use?

    Thanks again

Give it a go. I have done several, indeed i was going to write a guide on camcorder to DVD using SVCD2DVD....

The encoder is based the avcodec library which is the same as that used in QuEnc, for example. See MPEG-2 Encoders 2005 TEST! CCExTMPGENCxPROCODERxMCxQUENC for comparisons....

I have to say that in the next release there will be 2 pass encoding and a "fit to DVD" feature which may benefit such usage.

  13. I only have one question, Chris. If I purchase this release, will I still be able to update as improvements and updates are made without having to pay for the software again? I apologize if this question has already been answered. I have searched but haven't found any results. Thanks in advance.

p.s. Awesome piece of software dude. The best I have used.
