I just got a new service plan and got this:

A Nokia 6010. Looks nice but absolutely horrible to use it for talking to someone else on it. If I'm in my house or in a library its no problem. But on a bus, train, out in the street, or pretty much where I spent 80% of my day it does not work. The volume is so low on it that I cannot hear the person on the other end AT ALL.

I want to get a new phone but seems that for a society that lives with these things glued to the side of their head, there's a severe shortage of sites that are actually about them and not ringtones and wallpapers. I was thinking of the Moto A630 but saw that the volume level was a little low. But the first thing I thought was: "Low compared to what?" You know what I mean?

I used to have this phone:

I loved this phone. If anyone is familiar with this phone, they'll know what I think is a good volume sound. If you don't then I guess you have to think about what you would recommend for an old man. One more thing: I do NOT want a clamshell. That is all.
    His name was MackemX

What kind of a man are you? The guy is unconscious in a coma and you don't have the guts to kiss his girlfriend?

What I don't get is that the cell phone manufacturers spend all of their time adding cool ring tones and video features, when all we REALLY want is strong reception.
