  1. Hi

I have a problem that when I capture at any resolution/bit rate direct to MPEG2 the sound is always out of synchronization (in front) of the picture. In MPEG1 it works fine

I have a AMD 1600+ with 512MB PC and am capturing to a ATI AIW 128 Pro using MMC 7.1.

Would anybody have any ideas why this is happening and how to solve the problem as MPEG2 definately gives a better picture when converted to SVCD/XVCD.

    Thanks

Why don't you try to demux the file with TMPGEnc, then Figure out about how much time the audio is out of sync with the video, then edit the audio file by either cutting off that amount from the beginning or adding that amount of silence to the beginning, and then remux the file. It would only take you 20 minutes tops to do the whole process. The longest part is finding out exactly how much time the video is out of sync w/the audio. Once you find that out the rest is easy and will go fast on your speedy compter. The only obstacle that I see you running into is if the audio gradually gets worse throughout the video. But I don't think that will be the case. Hope this helps!
