My reciever is 600 watts DTS/DD, but only has 1 digital coax connection and 1 optical connection. My pc has optical out and digital coax out. Since I would need a 15 ft or slightly bigger optical cable that's out of the question because the bigger lengths are expensive. also this would have to be ran under a carpet, so the vaccum could pinch it and then no audio. So I would like to use the digital coax from my dvd player and the digital coax from mypc in the same input on the reciever. Now if I use a y adapter, it's obviously going to play sound from my pc and dvd at the same time if I watching a dvd and have the pc on. Is there any simple plans on building a breakout box so I could plug 2 or 3 digital coax's into one digital coax input? thanks

creative makes a small box that can change an optical into a coax or a coax into an optical. i saw it at wal-mart a few months ago. but i think it was 40$ so it may be too expensive
