    THE Johnny Carson passed away this morning apparently after he had been ill recently. How sad. He will be greatly missed. Loved watching his show back in the day.

    BUMMER....I read recently that he was giving some monalog jokes to David Letterman.....and that he always thought David should of taken place

    I'm hearing the coverage now on CNN. It seems he kept on smoking for many years, although he still lived a long life. I used to watch his show and took the NBC studio tour in the 80's, which included a tour of his studio. He had his own mark on the stage, while everyone else had another a few feet back....

    He was a comedy legend and a Late Night Talk Show King. Very nice person to meet live too. A lot of people liked him.

    i saw a clip of him the other night.. they were doing a thing on greats.. well lets just say he was huge.. kinda like marlin brando .. he left looking great and when he shows up outa noware it was a shock. 300+ lbs.. BUT he was a pioneer.. and sad to hear hes gone

    As stated above, Johnny Carson once mentioned that he had hoped David Letterman would take his place, but David Letterman was already under a strong contract. And Carson provided monologues and jokes to Letterman for a few years.

    What's funny, is on Adult Swim last night they were talking about the mourning of Johnny Carson, and that Johnny Carson modeled the children who watched Late Night television. And that the watchers of the Tonight Show with Johnny Carson are now watching the true Tonite Show - The Late Show With David Letterman. I just laughed. I saw Leno here in Vegas, he's not very funny. I watch Leno to get my laundry to dry faster.

    Didn't Leno sue McDonald's for using his profile for the MacTonite moon? :P

    Have you also seen the Butthead family on South Park. They remind me of Jay Leno without the chin. So basically Leno is an a**hole with a large chin.
