XVID AVI 576x240 (2.40:1) [=12:5] to DVD

having alot of trouble with avi - dvd. I can get the right aspect ratio in tmpgenc but it's all jerky, I can get smooth playback with DVD2SVCD (avi2dvd) but the aspect ratio is wrong, any tips. I've read alot of the guides but I still don't seem to be able to get it right. My dvd player is quite capable of playing NTSC so I'm not bothered about converting it to PAL. I just want it to look right. it's 23.whatever fps and the title has the rest of the details

You need to encode to NTSC 23.97 then after the encoding use Pulldown.exe on the created file...or do it internally with TMPGenc....plenty of guides on the left<<<<<
