So, I bought a Samsung 16x DL dvd burner, and a bytecc Firewire enclosure, installed the drive using PatchBurn.
Got a shipment of DVDs today, and all my burns result in errors, either it takes way too long, or Toast doesn't report its progress very well. Also if I try to burn (anything, dvd video or dvd rs) I get buffer underrun errors. I've even tried burning only at 2x to no avail.
Any suggestions. I probably left out details, I'll be happy to provide any.

Weird. I've got a DL burner in a Firewire case and it burns perfectly. You sure this is good media?
-
It might not be. I'm going to go to the store or see if any of my friends have other media I can try.
What media do you use? -
Hmm, yeah, well I think I'm going to
1. Try media known to work.
2. Exchanging the firewire enclosure out
3. Exchanign the Samsung drive for something known to work a little better (e.g. Pioneer).
until I get this thing resolved. -
