  1. What gives here? I just loaded the firmware for the 3hr mode and the MV delete and decided to check my last recording and it looks like Ted Turner got a hold of it! Anyone else experiencing this problem? Does it have to do with the original or hacked portion of the upgrade (E20 version)? I tried a couple of commercial DVDs and they were not quite as bad, but they were still funky colored. I have not tried to record with it yet, as that seems futile at the moment. I knew this seemed too easy. Anybody?

You could flash back to the original firmware and see if the problem goes away.

Mine went fine also. Even fixed the fast clock problem.

Same way as you flashed the upgrade (with a minor exception). See the fine print on the following site for instructions

  9. Just an update. I recorded a one hour show in the one hour mode and the quality of the recording was indistinguishable from the original (at least on my cheap equipment, although I guess the HP laptop really isn't...). The color issue seems to be with the recordings I had made before the firmware upgrade. I will be recording several programs in different modes this week, so I'll update if any problems appear.
