I have a few MPG music video that already has the words on them. I need to know how to burn them on to a cd/vcd. Do I just burn it like a file ? or do I have to convert them into a different format so the dvd player will accept it?

There is also a hardware issue if you want to burn Karaoke CDs. The burner has to be able to support the Karaoke format. The only ones that I know that do are Plextor burners. There may be other burners that support Karoke but if there are, it is a very short list. You need to confirm that you have a burner that can write Karaoke discs before you do anything else.

I have a NEC burner... why is karaoke different from regular cd ? I tried to burn a vcd with the files on there and it worked on my DVD player, as I won't have access to a karaoke player until tomorrow to test if it works on it or not...
