not able to put sound of an avi file in tmpgenc

i think sound is in acc i have tried to put it in tmpgenc to convert it but when i do browse audio and put the avi file it says cannot open or unsuported .

i have try to extract wav with virtuadub and im not even ebale to play wav in winamp it says codec missing .

if i put it in tmpgenc same thing help i really want to play the wav i have extract

Sounds(!) like you've not extracted wav after all - just extracted audio direct stream (and VirtualDub just adds a .wav extension and header).
Try loading the AVI in GoldWave and save wav.
Can you play the AVI with audio at all?

I would suggest AVIMuxGUI to extract the audio seeing as how that is how it would have been created.

Really though if you want to use aac for audio, then surely you would be better off using mp4 or mkv as a container?

BTW, AAC is pretty uncommon in an AVI, and surely not anything TMPGEnc understands without help.
