I have an old flipper DVD that I wish to back up and combine onto one DVD-R. I wish to get not only the main feature, but the extras also.
The tools I use for backups are usually MacTheRipper and DVD2oneX. Do these tools have the ability to do what I want?
I've used the "join" feature in DVD2oneX on previous flipper backups, but that joins together and makes ready for burning the main feature only. This time, I wish to get the movie AND the "making of" extra.
Using VLC, I know which VOB is the "making of" extra. I can't figure out how to access that VOB via DVD2oneX "cell/chapter/layer" function or via the various "mode" selections of MTR.
I'm not expecting the final DVD-R with the extras to have menu items directing me to them; I'm guessing that they would be tacked on to the end of the movie after the credits.
Perhaps you can't get there from here without doing a complete re-authoring. I've used Sizzle before but can't say it's made any sense yet...

If I can read between the lines here. Are you saying extract the streams (.m2v and .ac3) and compile in DVDSP then start the burn and when DVDSP says there is not enough room on the disc, go and find the VIDEO_TS folder it compiled and compress it in popcorn or DVD2onex and then burn the compressed VIDEO_TS folder? If that wasn't what you were saying. Will that work?
A picture is worth a thousand words, but a good camera is worth about a thousand bucks.
