  1. Hi,

14 days trial of TMPGEnc is over, I am thinking to buy one.

    Anybody bought TMPGEnc from EBay?

Official TMPGEnc is selling for $39, the used one on EBay is only 9.99, Anybody bought one from EBay? Did it work?

    Thanks,
    Mike

I would only but it from the company. Too many people are selling Warez versions of software on EBAY. Look at his feedback it states from others he has sold pirated software before.

I bought my copy from Buy.com, reasonably priced for the real thing.

  4. Thank you.

It is the TMPGEnc DVD Author 1.5. Is it the same as TMPGEnc Plus 2.5?

    Thanks,
    Mike

No two different applications. DVD Author is for creating DVD's. Plus is an encoding tool. Click on the links in your ? and you will see info for both.

  6. Isn't that the same price TDA sells or from the link n his site? It doesn't include the mpeg2 encoder, does it?

  7. In buy.com, it is selling TMPGEnc DVD Author for $20.

I want TMPGEnc Plus, cannot find TMPGEnc Plus in buy.com.

    Thanks,
    Mike

If $37 breaks your bank account, you're in the wrong hobby.

Buy.com is NOT selling TMPGenc DVD Author 1.5 for $20, they are charging $69.36. You can buy it for $57 directly from Pegasys.

$37 for TMPGenc Plus 2.5 is a very reasonable price for an very good
    mpeg encoder.

Buy.com - it is DVD Author and Source Creator. If you purchase the boxed version you can upgrade to DVD Author 1.6 for free from the website.

Download from TMPGEnc directly - DVD Author $68 / Source Creator $39 - you can purchase the boxed version of both from TMPGEnc for $90.

  11. What is "source creator" ? Is it included in the TMPGenc DVD Author we can download from the link in the tools section here?

    HRMaddie,

I have been to Buy.com and can not find what you are talking about.
They are selling TDA version 1.5, in a box for $69.36.

Also, TDA version 1.5 is $58 from Pegasys and version 1.6 is $69. Version 1.6 is the same as 1.5 but has DL capability.

    HRMaddie,

I stand corrected. I have not been to the Pegasys website in a while. They no longer sell an unboxed TDA version 1.5.

I still think the cheapest place to purchase TDA is directly from Pegasys.

I provided a link in my first response to the buy.com website. Enlarge the picture and you will notice the box says DVD Author + Source Creator.

The Source Creator is going to do your encoding from avi to mpeg.
