    hi
So, I just bought 'little black book' yesterday for my girlfriend. heres my problem: I bought little black book. ok I'm kidding, thats not the problem (Well its kindof a problem)
She wants to bring it to her parents where her brothers are unholy terrors on anything they can get their hands on. I'd rather not risk them breaking the origional.
I tried to back it up with dvdshrink3.2 without success - it froze at 5% of its initial analyzation. I read a post about 'little black book; being difficult to backup for the same reason as its difficult to backup Resident evil2.
I had no problems with backing it (RE:2) up, so having trouble now has thrown me for a loop.

can anyone tell me how to back up my disc before she goes to visit?
    thank you in advance

try vobblanker or the latest version of DVD DECRYPTER.

rip with vobblanker first then open up DVD SHRINK and let it do it's thing then burn with whatever burning software you use....

or try ripping with latest DVD DECRYPTER then use DVD SHRINK.

  3. It seems like Canadian version of RE2 doesn't use ARccOS system, only Little Black Book.

I'm having problem playing that title even on my standalone players (Denon 910, Pioneer DV-05, Yamaha DVS5650). No matter what I do, I can't play the WS version, only the P/S.

I ended up having to rip the DVD, make a copy of the WS version before I can actually play it. No, it's not a defective DVD, I exchanged it 3 times with the same results.

    It's relly stupid.

Latest DVD Decrypter rips right though ArCCos protection, which is what you're seeing here.

So rip it with Decrypter first, then Shrink it after that.

Also, one interesting item is that you will want to change Decrypter's CSS cracking method to have Brute Force first (BruteForce->IO_Exchange, not IO_Exchange->BruteForce), otherwise you'll get nasty errors about the IO Key Exchange failing (the copy will still work, but the errors are irritating and pause the ripping process).

  5. Can anyone tell me how to RIP just the main movie with latest DVD Decrypter? I hate to rip the entire disc just than run DVD shrink for the main movie. Or in order to copy these new CSS movies I HAVE TO rip the full disc?
