I have some video taken with a Sony TRV 310 Digital 8 camcorder. The video is transfered to my computer without any droped frames. When I convert part of the movie without editing to DVD or MPEG2 I get this almost shadow or fuzyness. I just dont know what ot call it. I have tried everything, encoding it with Pro Coder 2, MC1.4, VBR, CBR, even with a 3-2 dropdown to 23.9fps. I still get the same result. Please help. maby there is a filter that i can use in Vegas 5.0. Thanks in advance.

Without a still or clip to look at, it's hard to make a call. It could be interlacing, in which case, burn the results to a DVD-RW and test it on your TV. Interlace often looks much worse than it is when played back on a PC (progressive display) than it does on a TV (which expects an interlaced source)
