  1. Hi all,

I couldn't find an answer to this on the search or through browsing so would like to run something by you.

I'm using SVCD2DVD v1.51.2.0 and consitantly get the same results no matter what I convert or what media I use...

After about 15-20 mins of playback the video starts to go all jerky like it's dropping frames or something. The sound is fine and after another 10-15 minutes it's all fine again. I could undertand if it were on the odd bad original source or cheap media but it is consistant throughout and on different playback devices as well

Using AMD AthlonXP 3200+ with 1GB Corsair Ram - all processes nice and smoothly in the conversion.

    Does anybody have any suggestions?

    Thanks

  4. bump - has anybody else experienced this? As good a job as DVD Santa does I'd much rather use this successfully, especially as I've paid for it

    Thanks

  6. does it play fine on the computer..... if it does, then its your dvd player..

ps2 dvd players aren't that great, also make sure you don't do anything else while your encoding...

but try the new version 2 with DVD DEcRYPTER option ...... that works for me... nicely..

  7. i imagine ur using cheep media by the sound of ur problems,i always use ritek g04-g05 dye/discs and have no problems,if any problems were to arise i would burn at a slower speed.also have u mounted ur vob/image etc in daemon to test first ?.
erm..also that dvd playewr u paid loads for a year or more ago is probably not very good at reading copies, get a newer/cheapo quonfontonwango dv player (19£) from lidl's,they play anything and everything

  9. Personally I think this is great software and worth every penney. Even though the best things in life are free, there are a few exceptions to the rule. I cant imagine that anyone could make a mint out software anyway.

not neccessary mate, i was just blowing off some steam. didn't mean to cause offence.

For what it's worth I use Ritek G04/G05 and Fuji03 as well as Verbatim DVD+RW and am still getting same results. Tried burning on Pioneer 104 and NEC 2510a. I've tried all suggestions inluding the new betas and still get the same. Various sources which are all good and I've even tried it on a completely different configuration of mobo and HDs.

Oh well, just wasn't meant to be for me I guess. Not worth losing sleep over

    Cheers

Ok. If you have a example, please upload it to ftp://BetaTester:b%40dger@ftp.svcd2dvdmpg.com:7676/Jerky

Include a text file detailing the issue (time of jerkyness, DVD player used, software player used) and i will investigate.

    Thanks
