  1. after downloading autoGK I converted my wedding vob file to xvid, So i could edit. I tryed pinncale 9 but it says its not the correct mpeg4 format. So i tryed Vegas 5 and adobe permier pro but they dont load into the time line . So i converted it to divx 5 but still the same .Is there something im doing wrong. I have being trying to edit my wedding dvd for about 2 weeks still stuck in same place please help

  2. You could try converting it to DV avi format. Its pretty big, ~13Gb per hour, but it is what many of the editing proggys were designed for. I think you can do this using the Panasonic DV codec and whatever method you normally use for DVD to divx conversion, just select the Pana codec instead.

    DivX and XviD really aren't designed for editing and most editing apps aren't designed for codecs like them.

    Also DV isn't lossless, I would edit the original mpeg or convert to something lossless like huffyuv. If you do go with XviD I would lock it to all I frames.
