I ripped a DVD with a bit of Software called DVD Decrypter and i noticed on the out put it was fine, but then i ripped it to XviD with AutoGK and the picture was a little to the left and was bigger than the VOB's extracted from the DVD this has happened once out of about 6 other DVD's i ripped which ripped fine.

How do i sort this out??

    Cheers

I don't think autogk rips (transfer dvd to HD). It is a program that encodes ripped dvds to xvid or divx. If your xvid file is bigger than the dvd, you have the settings wrong (but I don't think can set it that high) I think the default is 2 cds (or 1400 megs). You can lower this to as little as you want, but for a 2 hour movie, i cd (700 megs) will be fine.

Sorry i think u misunderstood what i said, no worries.

Infact theres two things id like to say.

Yeah i extract them to the PC with DVD Decrypter and then encode them with Auto GK and the picture is bigger than the DVD was when i watched it from there and the titles at the end seem more to the left when they should be centered like they were when i watched them on the DVD.

Also ive noticed a few issues with playback.. Very odd this happens only sometimes.
When playing back VOB's ive extracted with DVD decrypter and even ones ive ripped with Dr DivX ive noticed lines across the screen on bits with movement. This happens occasionally i mean sometimes i would drag it to say.. VLC and it would play fine then sometimes it plays with lines across the screen of bits of the picture looking like the lines havnt cought up with the picture yet.

Please answer these 2 questions as soon as poss.

    Cheers

Also if i have 3 ripping programs installed can it cause conflict between other??

What program are you using to view these? I suspect that this is where the problem is.

Using VLC Media player have not yet tried it with anything else.

Is VLC known to be a bit dodgy with interlaced issues, this problem did not occur in version 7 of VLC..

I use pwoerdvd and have never noticed a problem with avis created with autogk. You might try wmp, and make sure you have the correct xvid codec installed.
