  1. I'm going to use TMPGEnc 3.0 Xpress to encode Divx files usig the Divx Pro 5.2.1 codec. When selecting my video and audio comptression in TMPGEnc, I can find the Divx Pro codec just fine, but the mp3 audio codec that I see in the drop-down lidst has a max setting of 56,000 kbps/ 24,000 hz.

This seems incredibly LOW to me. Should I use a better mp3 codec (and if so, which one?). Is 56,000/24,000 going to be good enough to play in a stand-alone unit that supports Divx files?

    Thanks.

    Hello,

Get lame mp3. Then you can go as high as you want. Though 128 is generally acceptable
