  1. I have been using Prodisc 4x printables from Supermediastore for a long time now and havnt burnt 1 coaster. Recently i got 8x dvd-rs since they didnt have the 4x dvd-rs in stock. My first burn was a movie. Played 75% the way through.. then it started crapping out, skipping and then eventually just switching to the next chapter. I never had this problem before w/ the 8x discs.. any idea if its the media? Or should i try to burn at a slower speed? I only have a 4x burner so im burning these 8x discs at 4x. I used to burn the 4x discs at 4x w/ no problems.

    Please let me know

Prodisc have been having issues lately. Do a search on the forums and you will see different topics on the subject. Also it's also helpful if you have your computer specs listed in your profile.

This media is 4X not 8X but I don't think that is your problem as your drive listed is a 4X burner. I would suspect that a firmware upgrade might help. I am not sure how old yours is of how new S03 is. Also without seing the scan I would guess that this might be where your drive speeds up to max. Lastly, I had a Pioneer 107 and these media are routinely burning with scan errors in the low 100s so it is possible that what you are getting is what you should expect. I did have a few of these that I burned at 2X with very good results before I got an NEC 3500. Now these burn at 4X with scans in the teens.
Still a few bugs in the system...
