  1. I did a DVD a while ago in DVDSP2, and I need to edit something. All I need to do it take out 1 track, and possibly edit one menu. All that I have left is the final disc I burnt. Is this possible, or am I pretty well screwed?

Can it be done? Yes. Will it be a quick fix? No. Still interested?

  3. Rip the DVD. Rip it into the MPEG2 and the AC3 streams (YadeX is pretty easy to use). If you need to edit a menu rip the menu in its own set of streams. The MPEG2 video stream will import into FCP but the AC3 audio will need to be converted to AIFF or another format that FCP will recognize. I have used MPEG2 WORKS for that. Go to the Tools tab, select Audio, select AC3> AIFF.
Then you can edit away ....
After that you will have to re-build the DVD
I think that is about it.
    Have fun !!!

  4. My video and my menus are good. However, I can't quite get the audio. It ripped it in ".pcm" format. I don't believe I encoded this is ac3...but I still can't get anything to play it or convert it. Any suggestions?

    .PCM is .AC3.
use MAC3dec to convert to AIFF.

PCM is not AC3 - AC3 is compressed while PCM is not (similar to aiff).

    I stand corrected.

Still, to edit PCM you would need a sound editor able to handle
the large file. Amadeus II would be able to handle it to edit,
provided you have ample memory/ disc space for swap.

  9. It doesn't have it listed. It doesn't list PCM at all....but I cant do any AC3 stuff in the demo version, so I don't know

all that ac3dec does is crash....

You would think A.Pack could convert PCM to AC3...

Does anyone know if WORKS can convert PCM? If so I may have to spend the 10.
