I just found this feature.Without tivo you can record programs and play them back later.Does anyone else use this function?

Are you talking about capturing to your PC? What are you using to record?

Comcast has a cable converter box that has the pvr in it.

I just called comcast.I cant actually record even though it appears so with my current box. I might junk the tivo. Tivo cant store HD and this will store up to 30 hrs HD and 120 non-hd.For 9.99/month.Thats cheaper than tivo and you dont have the equipment layout.
