Sonic MyDVD works great with Media Center to burn shows to DVD (and make nice DVD menu's, backgrounds, etc)
Panasonic E-85 & Panasonic E-55 dvd recorders
Gateway 510XL with Media Center 2004
External Iomega DVD-Superdrive (writes DVD-Ram) -
I have already tried Sonic MyDvd. I have the version that was preinstalled when I bought the computer. The version I have does not have the option to change recording formats. I have the HP m260n media center and I've used the m360n and m370n and both of those had a different version of MyDvd that would convert or let you change the format before recording. I've tried updating my version and no changes take place.

DVR-MS is MPEG with metacode embedded.
Go here and click on DVR ripper:
http://www.thegreenbutton.com/downloads.aspx
Download, rip, and then you should be able to use something like TMPGEnc or any number of editors or authoring apps in our tools section to continue -
Can anyone help me with using DVR-Ripper. I unzip the file and then I'm lost. I get a list of several files. After messing around and opening some, I install something called TVShowExport, but before it installs I get an error message saying the program is for evaluation purposes only. When I run the program and select a file to convert, I get a Microsoft error message. Can anyone help me out?
