I have a modded ps2, and backed up xenosaga episode 1 from an original copy I owned. Now I copied a dvd9 movie from an original before this to make sure they would read in my ps2. and it did it fine. So I did xenosaga. According to recordmax now! the discs are the same. Normally I rip & record with recordnow max! but for some reason I version I bought is older and doesn't support dual layer so I burned the image (which I ripped with recordnow max!) w/ dvd decryptor.
I found that normally other backups I have of my bought games boot automatically, but for some reason you can start to see the brower/current config blue screen and then the game starts to boot, see the ps2 logo and then it hangs. I did but the rip & burn @ min so I know it's not that.
I used Verbatim DVD+R DL for both the movie & the game. I think I did it right so I'm trying to figure out if it's software or hardware.
Is there a better brand of DL dvd's for ps2?
