Can I author both 16:9 & 4:3 AR MPEG-2's on the same DVD? Is it allowed in the specs?

Do they need to be in different VTS for it to work or something?

Think about the features you have used between yesterday's post and today:

    -Multi VTS
    -VMG Menu vs. VTS Menus
    -Invisible Buttons
    -Auto-activate buttons / "Timeout" function
    -Bridge objects
    -Playlists
    -END-Link Command
    -Edit VM Commands
    -Multi-aspect ratio DVD's

Some of these are "Advanced" functions of DVD Authoring, and you've already tried them in your first project!

You'll eventually want to add multiple audio tracks and subtitles (maybe). Which DLP also supports!

For me, the only thing missing right now is multi-angle support -- but I hear that is coming

Yes, this software is pretty amazing (imho).

  4. According to the DLP forums, multi-angle is terribly difficult to implement, BUT, it will be available in the near future.

Now get into some cool stuff, and hit the FX, and D-FX buttons. Set up some cool switched menus, with EasterEggs, forceplay intro's (with no user input), and about 10 billion other things it can do, and play

Heh heh... you make me sound like some sort of guru or something. Actually that multi-VTS thing was my second project. I did multiple audio tracks (one PCM and the other AC3) in my first project. It is true that I don't like to be constrained by standards and that's what lead me to DLP in the first place. I tried TDA for about 5 minutes before DLP but as soon as I discovered it wouldn't allow me to author SVCD resolution MPEG's it got the arse.

Personally I can't understand why anyone would consider using any other authoring tool at all. Initially it is very daunting to look at, but you get over that scary impression quickly. Even for very simple straight forward projects (like the ones I do), it can't be beat. Whether very complicated or very simple, DVD-lab PRO fits the bill perfectly.
